Im Herbst 2002 gründete der Gitarrist Martin Müller das RUA BADEN POWELL PROJEKT mit der Intention, den Großmeistern der brasilianischen Gitarre seine Reminiszenz zu erweisen und den großen Songs der MPB, der MUSICA POPULAR BRASILIERA, eine eigene musikalische Aussage hinzu zufügen. Die RUA BADEN POWELL ist eine kleine Strasse in Canico de Baixo auf der Atlantikinsel MADEIRA und wurde nach dem Gründer der Pfadfinderbewegung SIR BADEN POWELL benannt. Die Band bestand in diversen Besetzungen bis zum Jahr 2014.

In autumn 2002, guitarist Martin Müller founded the RUA BADEN POWELL PROJECT with the intention of paying homage to the grand masters of the Brazilian guitar and adding his own musical statement to the great songs of the MPB, the MUSICA POPULAR BRASILIERA. The RUA BADEN POWELL is a small street in Canico de Baixo on the Atlantic island of MADEIRA and was named after the founder of the scout movement SIR BADEN POWELL. The band existed in various formations until 2014.
